Consumer Science 8
1 semester for grade 8
This course provides an introduction to all areas of Family and Consumer Science including Foods and Nutrition, Child Development, Clothing and Textiles, and Family Relations and Personal Development. As part of the curriculum, students will create denim sewing projects and participate in basic food labs.
Projects included in this class:
1. Paint color wheel
2. Paint tints and shades
3. Make denim potholders
4. Make denim pillows
5. Learn to make new foods
6. Learn to be a good babysitter
7. Learn about yourself and interacting with others
