CAREER OBJECTIVE: To instruct and guide students at the secondary and/or elementary level to attain their highest educational goals.

EDUCATIONAL GOALS:

To obtain new and interesting material to supplement the existing class curriculum material.
To cover all chapters in existing textbooks.
To be more knowledgeable on the subjects covered within the textbooks so that classroom information will be more up-to-date.
To gain more knowledge on the use of computer activities within the classroom.
To take care of college credits needed to renew teaching certificate.

PERSONAL DATA: I was born and raised at Robinson, North Dakota to Ronald and Janet Brackenbury and have 2 siblings. My father still owns and operates the family farm where I grew up and he takes care of my livestock interests. I married Clarissa Keller in July of 1993. We were blessed with our first child in October of 1995 (Shania Marie), our second in April of 1997 (Connor Wayne) and our third child in April of 2000 (Calli Lee). Clarissa worked as a beautician in Minot; clerk/baker at Mohall Super Valu; and for the past 16 years has worked at Citizens State Bank of Mohall as a teller. We have resided in Mohall the past 18 years and in 1998 we purchased a house which we enjoy making home improvements on. My hobbies include: coaching baseball and basketball; baseball card collecting; gardening; attending our childrens events,and fishing at Lake Darling.

EDUCATION: I attended Robinson Public School for 12 years and received my Bachelor of Science degree from North Dakota State University in the education field with majors in History and Physical Education and a minor in coaching in 1986. In 1988, I went back to NDSU and spent the winter and spring quarters taking several social science classes as well as working on a minor in biology. I have also spent various summers taking classes to take care of the teacher certificate updates.

WORK EXPERIENCE: From 1989 - 1992, I was the high school Social Studies instructor at Selfridge Public School, Selfridge, North Dakota. While there I was the head boys basketball coach for 3 years and compiled a record of 15-42. I also coached the varsity girls program at Selfridge in the fall of 1991 to a record of 6-10. I was employed by the Mohall Public School from the fall of 1992 to the spring of 2004.  In the fall of 2004 Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood school district consolidated and am presently completing my 19th year of teaching in this area. My teaching assignment at M-L-S includes  11th U.S. History, 12th Economics, 10th World History and 9-12 Physical Education (Weight Lifting). I was the Mohall Yellowjackets girls varsity basketball coach for 11 years from 1993-2004. For the past 6 years I have been the Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood Mavericks girls varsity basketball coach.  I also have coached elementary girls basketball here at  M-L-S the past 7 years.  Prior to becoming head girls coach at Mohall I was assistant girls coach for 1 year and C-squad boys coach for the 1st-7 years at Mohall.

OTHER WORK EXPERIENCE:

Youth Baseball Coordinator: Directed the Mohall T-Ball, Pee Wee, Midget and Babe Ruth baseball program from 1993 - 2010. Scheduled, organized and directed practices and games. Also managed several tournaments for the Pee Wee and Midget teams.

Athletic Director: Selfridge Public School during the 1989 - 1992 school years. Handled the scheduling of basketball games and officials.

Youth Baseball/Softball Coach: Worked with the Bismarck Parks and Recreation programs during the summers of 1989 - 1992. Directed and instructed youths of various ages in baseball fundamentals.

Softball Umpire: Was a member of the Bismarck Umpires Association which allowed me to umpire in the men's and women's softball divisions of the Bismarck leagues. Did this in the summers of 1990 - 1992.

Head Baseball Coach: Directed the Wing - Tuttle - Robinson Junior Legion and Babe Ruth baseball programs in the summers of 1985 - 1987. Organized and directed player practices as well as used instruction and encouragement as the basis for player improvements.

Youth Basketball Coach: Coached a group of Horace - Mann elementary sixth grade girls in Fargo, ND during the fall of 1985. Designed and directed basketball practices along with analyzing and implementing improvements in player performances.

Pole Treater: Worked for Tri-County Cooperative of Carrington in the summers of 1979 - 1984. Was a member of a crew of individuals who inspected and tested wooden poles that carry electricity to rural customers.

Farm Laborer: Worked on my father's and several neighbor's farm/ranch operations from 1976 - 1987. Operated and repaired farm machinery as well as handling livestock.
