Mr. Trevor Savelkoul

Hello and welcome to my webpage! I will have lesson plans below and some helpful links for parents and students to use when working on math problems at home. If you have any issues or concerns, don't hesitate to email me or call the school and they can get you in touch with me.

Grading Policy

My grading policy is a little different than others as I do not collect practice problems (homework) from my students. I will be having students complete Google forms in class and will assess how well they know the information based on that. In PowerSchool, I will have what lesson we went over and a score that will not be counted toward their grade, but that is how I am keeping track of where students are and if I am needing to talk with certain students more. The only things that will be graded traditionally are the tests I give; however, those can be redone upon request from the student. These redoes will be on the students' time and will show me if they have learned the material better than the first time.

The reference for the scores in PowerSchool for the lesson would be:

Pro-4- Student has a complete understanding of the skill and could teach the skill to a peer.

Master-3-Student has a complete understanding of the skill (target).

Beginner-2- Student can understand the skill with some help from a peer or me.

Novice-1-Student requires a good amount of help from a peer or me to complete the skill.
