MLS May Newsletter – From the Superintendent’s Desk

Dear MLS Families and Community Members,

As we arrive at the final month of the school year, it is hard to believe how quickly the year has gone! May is always one of the busiest and most exciting times at MLS, filled with spring sports, concerts, elementary music festival, graduation, etc., that highlight the hard work and talents of our students.

We would like to extend a huge CONGRATULATIONS to the Class of 2026 as they prepare to graduate. Graduation will take place on May 26th at 1:00 p.m. in the Kolbo Auditorium. This is a special time filled with pride and reflection as we celebrate their accomplishments and look ahead into their futures.

Please also join us for our Spring Music Concerts on Friday, May 15th, with the elementary performance at 6:00 p.m., followed by grades 7–12 at 7:15 p.m., with an intermission and food served in between performances by the MLS Music Boosters. Everyone is invited to attend and support our students!

As we close out the year, I want to take a moment to SINCERELY THANK our ENTIRE MLS STAFF. Their commitment, care, and dedication are what make this school such a special place for our students! They consistently go above and beyond, often without the recognition they deserve. If you have the opportunity, please take a moment to thank a staff member in person — it truly means more than you know!

I would also, again, like to express my gratitude to our families and community members for your continued support. Your involvement and pride in our school play a vital role in the success of our students and our district.

This will be the final newsletter until Fall 2026. Thank you for a fantastic school year! We wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer!
